Wagagai Mining (U) Limited, established in March 2019 and located in Busia, Uganda, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group in East Africa. The Wagagai gold mine project invested and developed by the company covers an area of 9.24 square kilometers, with proven ore reserves of more than 30 million tons, with an average grade of 1gram/ton, containing about 30 tons of gold in total, and can sustain production and operation for 20 to 30 years. The project plans to invest 240 million US dollars in total, and has invested 180 million US dollars by now. The project has completed 80% of the overall construction including office area, staff dormitory, warehouse, core storage, laboratory, substation, gas station, mixing station, ramp, main and auxiliary shafts, powder ore silo, ball mill workshop, beneficiation plant, smelter, leaching tank, tailings pond, etc., and will be completed and produced by the end of 2024. 

At that time, with the world's most advanced mining equipment and the introduction of world-class production technology, it can process 5,000 tons of ore per day, produce 1.5 tons of gold per year with purity of 99.99%, solve the labor employment of 3,000 people, generate foreign exchange of 100 million US dollars and pay taxes of 10 million US dollars annually. It will create considerable economic and social benefits, and make strong contributions to improving people's livelihood, stimulating the economy, and strengthening the strategic cooperative partnership between China and Uganda.
