On the noon of April 5, 2024 local time, Mr. Tan Jiuchang, the General Manager of China Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group, led a team of four people including Zhong Hao, Deputy General Manager of the Uganda Business Division, and Chen Yingying, General Manager Assistant, to pay a special visit to Ms. Phiona Nyamutoro, the newly appointed State Minister for Minerals of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda.

During the visit, Mr. Tan briefly introduced to Minister Phiona the investment plan of China Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group in Uganda, as well as the organizational structure and members of the Uganda Business Division. He also reported on the current construction situation and expected production of the Wagagai Mining. Mr. Tan warmly invited Minister Phiona to visit the site of the Wagagai project and the Kampala office for inspection and guidance.

Minister Phiona said that she was very happy to meet with Mr. Tan and the Wagagai project team, and will visit the project site and office if the itinerary allows. Finally, on behalf of China Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group, Mr. Tan presented a fine porcelain vase from China to Minister Phiona, and the two sides had a warm conversation and took a group photo.
